Like many others, I started to create small Quick Guide documents regarding Copilot Agents, Agent Governance, and Power Platform this January. I find the documents that can be presented as carousels a nice way to process and share topics that might be too small for a full article but too large as a LinkedIn post only.
These guides can be found on my LinkedIn profile, but for easier access and archiving, I decided to compile them here on the blog from time to time. Here are the first guides from the first quarter of the year.
- SharePoint Agents Promo – Details
- Resubmitting Instant-triggered Flows
- Extend Microsoft 365 Copilot – Custom Engine Agents
- Shared Agent Listing of Copilot Agents
- From Library Actions to Tools

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟲, if your organization has at least 50 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses, any employee can create, share, and interact with SharePoint Agents. Qualifying organizations will receive 10,000 queries per month through June 30, 2025. 🎉
🔑𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲:
• SharePoint Agents are automatically activated for organizations meeting the 50 M365 license limit.
• The included capacity is 10,000 monthly queries for free during the promotion period.
• You don’t need to activate the Pay as You Go during the promo for non-M365 licensed users.
🔧 The promo can be turned off, but administrators must use PowerShell.
Resubmitting Instant-triggered Flows

Microsoft has introduced a new setting for admins that you can use to control resubmission. At the same time, they turned the 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲, meaning resubmitting is not allowed.
💡This new setting only affects the Flow admins and makers – running production flows are unaffected.
👨🎓In the new default mode, you cannot select and re-run previous runs or use those as tests while developing the workflows in the edit mode.
🔐Power Platform administrators can use a Power Shell command to control the resubmission function for instant trigger flow.
Extend Microsoft 365 Copilot – Custom Engine Agents
Full guide: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7291486290003341312
Starting in February, Microsoft will begin to roll out the possibility of publishing Custom Engine Agents as Copilot extensions.
‼️The important part is that not only Copilot Studio Custom Engine Agents will be available. Also, the pro-code agents can be used as extensions.
🎛️You control the agents through the Integrated Apps experience, but we might also see new control options.
🕵️Custom Engine Agents will offer full capability features and the possibility to create extensions precisely based on your needs.
If you want to use a selected LLM – 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻. You want a full topic control for the conversation – 𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. You want to use forms no matter which tool you use for the development – 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲.

he new Shared Agent section in Microsoft 365 Admin Center provides visibility into individually shared agents across the entire tenant. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁 👈
📋 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁: The new Shared Agent section in Microsoft 365 Admin Center provides visibility into individually shared agents across the entire tenant.
🔒 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: IT admins can now block agents to ensure compliance and security, similar to blocking any app through the Integrated Apps.
🛠️ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The Microsoft 365 Admin Centre Integrated Apps section offers tools to see and manage agents, including those created with Copilot Studio and Agent Builder.
🔮 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: I hope to see more details from the agents, such as the creator and sharing settings, to improve governance further.
From Library Actions to Tools

Today, I noticed something interesting in the Copilot Studio preview environment that might give some clues about the direction.
The library section that used to include actions, like conversational, is now called Tools 🛠️.
Under the Tools section, we can create Prompts and Agents ✨.
The agents created from this experience are Declarative Agents that extend the M365 Copilot service 🤖.
Does this mean we won’t have actions anymore? That we don’t know yet 🤷. My experience is that many use cases where we planned to use actions were actually better done with agents 💡.
But I think the new Tools experience is showing us the path, which is agents.
